In Nazca we enjoy a flight over the famous Nazca Lines, ancient geoglyphs declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. The Nazcas — excellent weavers, potters and goldsmiths — left one of the most formidable mysteries in human history.
Machu Picchu is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, a city amid gigantic mountains and huge precipices, very close to the pyramidal mountain called Huayna Picchu.
And the majestic Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. We visit Llachon, a peninsula with beautiful views, rural paths and serene hills with ancestral ceremonial centers.
Taquile is known for its friendly inhabitants, who preserve their customs and attire, standing out for their fine textiles with symbolic decorations in strong colors.
On Lake Titicaca at 3,810 m, amid the totora reeds, live the UROS, a fishing people who use the totora to build floating islands and their homes.
